FOLDED TYPOGRAPHY PIECE

During the typography course we
got a couple of homeworks con-
cerning the world of typography.
the striving goal was to get a con-
nection to d typography universum
optical effects, impressions or ce-
rtain associations.

we had to unite them in one TYPOBOX-
a colloquim of works a layperson would enjoy with.

ive created a folding paper...which leads the user
through the big spectrum of typography and the
tasks we had to solute in a loop by just folding the
squareshaped paperboard. hope u get my point... ^^

task to only use typography as a stylistic device.
we had to make a choice between 2 maincolors.

it has like a "you know you're filipino character...
but the book contains a bit more facts how and
why our parents moved over to our hometown
with d focus on germany.so its completely com-
posed in german.

it should remind every filipino on the good old
days with filipino habits, bout filipino charac-
teristics and of course qualities.

MIRROR DREAM WORLD

In the field of study ARTISTIC BASICS weve worked with paintings and used gouache as a medium
we mad grids, lines shapes and contrast to approximate us to the final work which has to deal with topic MIRROR.
So basicly we've let our creativity out by using pencils and brushes...

in the end i wanted to express my creativity in an unsual way.
I saw a possiblility to expand my artistic talent at a room installation which is my very first time cuz i usually work on white papers.

keeping it in a high artistic level was the main conflict and describe my motivation at the presentation without acting not authentic.

first of all i have to inform myself bout the sense and definition of an installation
a installation is not a sequence of several artworks.these together are building one piece of art.one unit.



the room, the wall, the floor are all necessar components of the installation
ideally the viewer or contemplator is an element of the installation by entering it.
The visitor is aware of the fact that he IS a part of the installation.
he gets in connection with it, observes the situation from different views to see the spatial effect of the single artworks.



i wanted them to submit with the installation and the mirrors in it.
i put the mirrors in a different perplex context by using old white furnitures.



the relation between the viewer and the mirror was influenced by the relation with object and mirror in the room.
that makes the viewers first step ,an entry into a magicial mirror dream world...lol..anyways.have a look.they liked it.

this is a shoutout for a new pinoy basketball team from the city wuppertal/germany

im currently working on their website www.whoooh.com, this is my first time and i have no idea of programming, dreamweaver,ftp etc...i even get the filezilla and i have no idea for what is it good or neede for exactly.

i began with scribbles, made notes,screenshots,and a bunch of vectorgraphics
this is just the beginning but i have to admit i dont feel comfortable with that task
but as always ill get until my limits to make it appear special.

HP ANNUAL ACCOUNT

my group and i were confronted with the task to redesign a boring annual report of any company. we've decided for the 2007 annual report of Hewlett Packard.
This Report only consists of blue and white planes and a lot..i mean really a lot of text passages with topics like business plans, a lot of gaping stats or fillingpages statements.

We've decided to use the concept of early HP commercials with for example Jay-z, Pharrell, Serena or Seinfeld to get use of dynamic forms and glowing neon colours,
in order to come to the point, it should just look sick afterwards.

The Annual Report is personal again...

im still amazed by the english knowledge of my brother, well i had pretty much fun to the read his about me section on his myspace..he is doing his thing, and knows what kind of development he is making with - without losing his way achieving his goal(s).im very proud of him and ill u a look on his description of his own.


Im Lawrence, nicknamed Lon. I have Austrian papers although my parents are both from the Philippines. Still I consider myself as German because I was born and grew up in Germany. I moved to San Jose/California after I graduated from High School in Germany. My first language is German, but I can speak English fluently since I moved to America. I can still speak low level French. I cant speak Tagalog and understanding it gives me a hard time
I get easily inspired and easily find new hobbies. I got inspired to draw, to dance, to play the piano, to play the guitar, to play soccer & to play basketball by certain people in different periods of my life. Currently I like to dance and I havent seen the end of it yet. I dont play the piano, soccer or basketball or draw anymore, but I still like to grab my guitar once in a while when I watch some youtube acoustic videos. I wish I could sing too, but I cant.
Right now, Im a student at De Anza College, taking one class at Foothill, but I will transfer to UCI in Fall09, and I am really excited about that next step. I miss my family and friends in Germany, but I noticed that growing up in separate countries doesnt not mean growing apart but closer together.
I am a shy person at first and you need some time to get to know me better. I like to use sarcasm as a tool to make people laugh but mostly it does not work out because they dont get my humor. I am really random, and I have so many thoughts about different stuff in my head. I always think 10 steps ahead before doing 1 step (lol, studivz). I am more of an observer, and I am definitely not the life of the party.
Thats about it for now. There is not more to come since I consider myself as a boring person.
